How to Get a Non-Nintendo Walmart Wired ONN Controller to Work With a Nintendo Switch

Summary

After buying a cheaper non-Nintendo off-brand wired ONN controller from Walmart for the Nintendo Switch, it appeared completely non-functional. None of the buttons worked, and the Switch couldn't find it in the settings. It was if we had received a bad controller. To get the controller working again, follow the simple steps below.

Step 1

In the Switch Settings menu, select Controllers and Sensors
